Obituary of Beverly Lorraine Austin

Beverly Lorraine Austin, age 87 of Roaring Brook, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at Residential Hospice, Wilkes-Barre. She was born at home in Hunlock Creek on January 17, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Arline Adams. Beverly and her husband, Hobart were the owner/operators of a long haul 18-wheeler and would travel all over the country. She was a member of the Roaring Brook Baptist Church. Bev was full of life and enjoyed being around people, especially her family and friends. She was known by many names, including Ruby, Beverly, Lorraine, Rink, Morry, and Nana. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart “Bud” S. Austin, Jr.; son Hobart “Sam” S. Austin, III; grandson, Benjamin Austin; son-in-law, George Kliamovich; and brothers, Thomas Adams and Fred Adams. She is survived by daughter, Susan Kiliamovich of Sweet Valley; granddaughters, Valarie Budzak and husband David of Sweet Valley, Heather Walsh of Little Plymouth, VA; Tanya Smith and husband Richard of Lancaster; Dina Shurley and husband Daniel of Macon, GA, and Kayla Austin, Macon, GA; and numerous great-grandchidren and great-great-grandchildren. A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. A public Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Memorial donations in Bev’s name can be made to the Roaring Brook Baptist Church, 332 Prichards Road, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621.
