Obituary of Wanda Matelinas

Wanda Matelinas, age 95 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Guardian Elder Care Center, Nanticoke. She was born in Hoxie, Arkansas on March 19, 1925 and was the daughter of the late James and Maud Mattox Bradford. Wanda was a member of Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, Hanover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, George Matelinas; and sister, Flora Merl Whalin. Wanda is survived by nephews, Charles Evan Whalin of Arkansas and William Maston Whalin of Michigan A private interment will be held at a later date in Cadillac Memorial Cemetery, Detroit, MI. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
