Bern (age 16) wishing he could grow up to be like his older brother, Len (age 17). Christmas 1956. I was about to leave for South Korea after just finishing Boot Camp at Fort Dix, NJ. The hair was always Bern's trademark...
Always missed. Prayerfully Kept.

I only knew Bernie for a short period of time in the late 80's when we were both stationed at the Dushore Barracks. Bernie was a "no-nonsense" guy, but I always knew that in times of trouble, Bernie always had my back.
I have thought about Bernie over the years and I know he will be missed by many!

Steadfast and Patient were what I saw in Bern. He was always willing to walk through the hard things to get where he is now -
"Standing Tall and Whole", in the presence of the One he always longed to know better. I hope Mim, Sara, Mike & Nikki can find peace and comfort in knowing he is well and at peace. I'm sure he is laughing and singing.

I met Bernie at Sears Logistics while working for the American Red Cross as workplace training coordinator for the Wyoming Valley Chapter. He made what would otherwise have been a very difficult project easy, and fun. I'm forever grateful to him for his help and friendship along the way. Deep peace to his family. Godspeed Bernie, and thank you!
