Helen M. Rodney, age 95, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Bonham's Nursing Center, Stillwater, where she resided for the last 4 years. Mrs. Rodney was born in Port Griffith on February 21, 1923 and was the daughter of the late George and Anna Stec Tylutki. Helen worked at McGregors Shirt Factory in Nanticoke and United Pants in Plymouth, retiring at the age of 62. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Rodney, brothers, John and Andrew Tetlock, Stanley, Frank and Edward Tylutki and sisters, Stella Spencer and Mildred Holmes Helen is survived by daughter, Carole Ann Janik and her husband Raymond of Ventura, CA; son, James E. Rodney and his wife Bethanne of Hunlock Creek; daughter, Kathleen Yarnell and her husband William of Benton;13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 9:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, with Rev. Alex Roche, officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Franklin Twp.
