I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He used to drive us Gate of Heaven kids to and from school in the 90s, on the #5 bus, and we loved him! His memory lives on in the hearts of all the kids who knew him, even those of us who are adults today!

My sincere condolences to all of Bob's family and friends.
I rode Bob's bus from first grade all the way until I got my driver's licence in high school, and even then, I'd ride the bus every now and then just to say "hi" to him. Bob was a kind, happy man and he always greeted me with a smile every time I hopped onto his bus; it was a wonderful way to begin and end each school day. I'll never forget the warm authenticity that his smile projected. Thank you for the care that you showed your students for so many years, Bob. You'll be dearly missed!

Bob was an amazing bus driver. He always made his trips enjoyable! He drove the band to everything we needed and was always there to cheer you on! He always had a smile on his face and love in his heart for everyone. There was never a time he didn't tell a joke. Bob you will be truly missed by me and my family. Our prayers are with your wife and family may God lift you up and take you safe in his arms. Until we meet again!❤

Every morning, I was his first stop. Even when I was running late, he would wait at the top of my driveway, and would honk until I opened my window and gave him a thumbs up to let him know I was coming out soon. I saw this smiling man's face almost every morning and afternoon for 4 years. He brightened my mornings, and I know many of my family members remember him just as fondly. We'll miss you Bob.

Bob often drove the high school band students during marching band season, jazz band events, and for state festivals.
He was always a gentlemen, loved being around our students, and gained the trust and respect of all staff, students, and parents.
Bob had a wonderful sense of humor, and his interest in the Dallas student programs was evident during each trip. Special people accept the responsibility of driving students on school buses, sometimes for hours at a time, then waiting until events have concluded. Bob was always supportive of the students and staff instructors. He no doubt will be be missed by many.
God’s speed, Bob, and thank you for your dedicated service to our students and school district.

Bob had the biggest heart of Dallas! He picked me up from Kindergarten until I learned to drive. One thing I'll never forget is how we shared the same birthday, I'd bring him a card and cupcake/muffin! He was awesome enough to stop the school bus when my mom was chasing after it after we missed it! He will be deeply missed by all of us Bunker Hillers! Much love Bob #5

Bob will truly be missed. He was a wonderful man. He was the best bus driver and bus 5 has not been the same since he left. He truly enjoyed his job. He knew the kids by name and took great care of them. He greeted them (and myself) with a smile each day. My children loved having Bob as their bus driver. The world lost a great man. May he Rest In Peace. ❤️

I’m very sorry for your loss. Bob was honestly one of the best people I have ever known. He always had a smile on his face, and made everyone smile. He truly cared about everyone and wanted to know how everyone’s day was. Everyday I would go to get off the bus and he would always tell me to have a good rest of my day, and he would also always yell and say hi to my dog when he was outside. Bob was just so much different than any other person. He was a caring and very genuine guy. He will forever be missed by any person that ever rode bus 5 and knew him.
