Obituary of Anthony Joseph Kempinski

Tony J. Kempinski, age 65 of Lake Silkworth, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at home, following an illness. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on October 28, 1952 and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Gutkowski Kempinski. Tony graduated from Nanticoke High School and received his associates degree in mechanical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, Wilkes-Barre. He was employed as a maintenance service specialist for the American Water Company. Tony served as President of the Outpost Sportsman Club, Lake Silkworth. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and Larry. Tony is survived by his wife of 31 years, the former Pam Daniels; sons, Bryon and Andrew; daughter, Jessica; sisters, Diane Krygier, Mary Hudak and Christine Mieldazis; grandson, Reese. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
