Obituary of Alfred James Martin

Alfred "AJ" James Martin, Jr., age 53 of Loyalville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Mr. Martin was born in Omaha, NE on January 8, 1964 and was the son of Alfred James Martin, Sr. and his wife Maryann of Benton and the late Deatra Elston Martin.
AJ graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1983 and was employed by Offset Paperback in Laflin for the last 34 years. He enjoyed being outdoors especially building bonfires and raising his Alaskan Malamutes. AJ also enjoyed camping with his family and friends, singing and writing songs.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, the former Catherine "Cathy" Dellario; daughter, Crystal Cool and her husband Tim of Dallas and Kaitlyn Martin and her fiancé Eli Boice of Kingston; brothers, David of Pittston, Jeff of Pikes Creek, Terry of Lehman and Keith of Sweet Valley; sister, Rachelle Daniels of Sweet Valley.
Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 12 at Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
There will be a time of sharing when the calling hours are concluded.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blue Chip Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Rd, Dallas, PA 18612.
