Obituary of Nancy L. Mowers

Nancy Keiper Mowers, age 80 formerly of Noxen, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Mrs. Mowers was born in Wilkes-Barre on May 21, 1937 and was the daughter of the late William and Lucy Titus Kline. Nancy graduated from the former Lehman High School and was employed at Rokay Dress Factory in Noxen for many years. She was a member of the Living Word Baptist Church, Fairmount Twp. Nancy had many talents and was a skilled crafter and was an excellent seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Arthur and William Kline, sisters, Shirley Derby, Dorothy Sutton and Patricia Jones, and grandson, Matthew Moyer. She is survived by daughters, Deborah Ann Keiper Metcalf and her husband John and Nancy Susan Keiper Schmidt and her husband David; son, Richard Keiper, Jr. and his wife Michelle; brothers, Charles and Russell Kline; sister, Betty Scouten; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Raymond D. Purdy, Jr. of the Living Word Baptist Church, Fairmount Twp., officiating. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Meadows Nursing Center for their compassionate care given to their mother.
