John and I enlisted on the same day, and served together closely for most of our time in the military. It is fitting that he departs this world in the uniform of the unit in which he so proudly served, for John embodied the true spirit and dedication of the soldiers that comprise the 109th Field Artillery. Nancy, you were John's rock, and you are the part of him that will keep his memory alive. He will be greatly missed by us all.

A most special memory for us has got to be John and Nancy's wedding. What a special day! I still think of how John and that great smile of his. He was so very happy and excited - He loved having Ryan as Best Man. Truly about the best wedding we have attended - I have thought of this many times (and have to admit used some ideas!) Thank you, John (and Nancy) - My husband, better known as Beav has been thanksful to have had you as his co-worker and friend. I think my favorite memory with uncle John was the 6am sound of a pellet gun dusting the tail of the red squirrels on the bird feeders... Uncle John, maybe you rest peacefully, provide your light when we are in need and know how dearly you are missed.
