Obituary of Evelyn Gertrude Taylor

Evelyn G. Taylor, age 78 of Sweet Valley, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Jeanes Hospital, Philadelphia.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Ross Township on November 4, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian White Raspen.
Evelyn graduated from the former Lehman High School in 1956. She was an active member of the Noxen Bible Baptist Church. Evelyn enjoyed metal detecting and gardening. Some of her grandchildren's favorite memories included cookouts at the cabin and Christmas Eve at Grammy's.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Hayden "Bud" and Thomas Raspen.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul Taylor; sons, Paul A. Taylor and his wife Sharon and Bryan A. Taylor and his wife Tammy, both of Sweet Valley; brother, Albert Raspen of Sweet Valley; grandchildren, Matthew, Cierra, Bethany, Jeremy and Bryce Taylor and Tyler Kowalski.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Ben Hubbell of the Noxen Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Friends may call 3-5 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Lehman Center Cemetery.
