Obituary of Anna Theresa Chesnovitch

Anna Theresa Chesnovitch, age 98 of Dallas, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Mercy Center, Dallas. Mrs. Chesnovitch was born in Larksville on February 26, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Patrick and Anna Rutkowski Eagen. Anna graduated from Larksville High School and was formerly employed by the Treasurer Office, Luzerne County Courthouse. She was a member of the Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas and its Altar and Rosary Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John B. Chesnovitch who passed away in 1988, infant daughter, Carol Ann, son, John Joseph, brother, Daniel Eagen and sister, Mary P. Fertal. Anna is survived by nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10:30 from Mercy Center, 301 Lake St., Dallas, PA 18612 with Monsignor John Bendik, officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 am – 10:30 am prior to the service at the Mercy Center. Interment will be in the St. Ann's Cemetery, Lehman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Care and Concern Free Health Clinic, 35 William Street, Pittston, PA 18640.
