Obituary of Taft Anthony Truska

Taft Truska, III, age 59 of Harveys Lake, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 16, 2017 at home. Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 1, 1957, he was the son of Taft, Jr. and Margaret Preston Truska of Harveys Lake. Taft graduated from West Side Vocational Technical School, Pringle in 1975. He was employed by A. Pickett Construction in Kingston for the last 30 years. He resided at Harveys Lake for all his life. As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid and talented woodcrafter, making toys and models. In addition to his parents, Taft is survived by his wife, the former Lorraine Opitz; sons, Taft IV and his wife Kristen of Harveys Lake and Matt of Hanover Twp.; daughter, Keegan of Harveys Lake; grandchildren, Taft V, Savannah, Tayden and Sierra. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. As per the family's request, please omit flowers.
