Obituary of Neva May Kocher

Neva May Kocher, age 89 of Harveys Lake, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Mrs. Kocher was born in Lake Township on May 17, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Hervey and Gertrude Anderson May.
Neva graduated from Lake Township High School in 1945. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Kenneth Kocher, daughter, Judith Kocher, brother, George May and sisters, Glendora Anderson, Kitty McDaniels, Esther Baer and Shirley Caputo.
Neva is survived by son, Howard Kocher and his wife Linda of Harveys Lake; sisters, Iris Weeks of Dallas, Mary King of Shrewsbury and Ethel Gryskiewicz of Delaware; grandchildren, Michael Kocher and his wife Erin of Plymouth and Colleen Kocher of Harveys Lake; great-grandchildren, Rachael and Noah Kocher; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Carol Folk of the Loyalville United Methodist Church, officiating.
Friends may call 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to the service on Monday.
Interment will be in the Lehman Center Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
