Obituary of Leo Martin Pall, Sr.

Leo M. Pall, Sr., age 83 of Sweet Valley, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Celtic Hospice Healthcare Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Pall was born at the family farm in Sweet Valley on May 29, 1933 and was the son of the late John and Mary Bogarowski Pall. Leo graduated from Lehman High School in 1951 and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Proctor and Gamble, Mehoopany, after 29 years of employment. Leo was a life time member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth. He loved being with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Anthony, John, Walter, Joseph, Edward and Robert; sisters, Stella Sayre, Mary Kulakowski, Albina Lapinski. Leo is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Mary Pyle; sons, Leo Pall, Jr. and his wife Rosemary of Havertown and Mark J. Pall of Sweet Valley; daughters, Mary Alice Roberts and her husband David of Alexandria Bay, NY and Ann Marie Shonis and her husband Mark of Lehman; sisters, Jennie Kulakowski of Hunlock Creek and Irene Stasko of Sweet Valley; grandchildren, Rachel, Davey, Danny, Matthew, Kathryn, Cameron, Sierra, Gabrielle and Aleah; great-grandchildren, Blaise, Lydia, Cassie and Rosie. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621 with Rev. Richard Fox, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
