Obituary of John Judge

John "Jack" Judge, Jr., age 73 of Hunlock Creek, lifelong resident of the Back Mountain, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Celtic Hospice Healthcare Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Judge was born in Kingston on December 22, 1942 and was the son of the late John, Sr. and Anna Hohol Judge.
Jack served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era and was a police officer for various municipalities in the Back Mountain area for 20 years. He was a life member of the Harveys Lake Rod and Gun Club, past president of Hi Lites Motor Club, member of the American Legion, Daddow Issaic Post 945, and was active for many years with the Lake Silkworth Fire Dept. Jack loved camping, fishing, hunting, and shooting sports.
He is survived by son, Jeffrey Judge and his wife Cynthia of Luzerne; brothers, William Judge and his wife Dorothy of Harveys Lake and Eugene Judge and his wife Molly of Rochester, NY; granddaughters, Erica and Tracy; great-granddaughters, Mary and Morgan; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am from the Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621 with Rev. Richard Fox, officiating.
Friends may call 3-5 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Private interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
The family requests to omit flowers from the funeral and to make memorial contributions to organization of the donor's choice.
