Obituary of Viola Vivian Scott

Viola Vivian Scott, age 88 of Harveys Lake, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Lakeside Nursing Center, Harveys Lake. Mrs. Scott was born in Berwick on May 7, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara Crispell White. Viola attended Dallas School District and was employed by the former Hanson's Amusement Park, Harveys Lake, Magnetic Winding, Easton, and the former General Cigar Co., Kingston. In addition, she was a well-known babysitter and was known to her kids as "Aunt Bo". Viola was a member of the Alderson United Methodist Church, Harveys Lake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, David C. Scott who passed away in 2003, and brothers, Junie, Darl, Donald, and Teddy. Viola is survived by son, David Scott; daughter, Twila Kaplanski and her husband Paul; grandson, John Kaplanski; sister, Fay Hess; brothers, Dorne and David White. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Val Rommel of the Alderson United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Alderson United Methodist Church, PO Box 271, Harveys Lake, PA 18618.
