Obituary of Dolores Pauline Spencer

Dolores P. Spencer, age 86 of Lehman, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Celtic Hospice Healthcare Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre. Mrs. Spencer was born in Luzerne on June 2, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Mateo and Otillia Broder Padavan. Dolores was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who brought great joy to her family. She especially loved family gatherings with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even grand-dogs. She always put others first. Dolores loved being outside working in her yard and tending to her many flowers. She was an avid fan of the Lake-Lehman Lady Knights Basketball team, the Lady Knights Soccer team, Penn State football, and the Duke Blue Devils Men's basketball team. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, David L. Spencer, brothers, John, Frank, and Joseph Padavan, sisters, Josephine Shoppel, Margaret Amos, Ann Napierkowski, Pauline Roper, and Mary Harchar. Dolores is survived by sons, David and his wife Patricia of Peach Tree Corners, GA, Donald and his wife Deborah of Shavertown, Robert of Lehman, and James and his wife Jayme of Lehman; grandchildren, Brian Spencer of Tinton Falls, NJ, Mary Jane Olson and her husband Sean of Peach Tree Corners, GA, Robert Spencer and his wife Lisa of Shavertown, Michael Spencer and his wife Holly of Lake Silkworth, Kelly Adamshick and her husband Michael of Harveys Lake, and Lauren Spencer of Lehman; great-grandchildren, Logan Spencer, Emma Spencer, Caiden Olson, Avelyn Olson, Ryan Spencer, Zoey Spencer, Carly Elston, and Ryder Adamshick; brothers, Louis Padavan of New York and William Padavan. Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
