Obituary of Joseph L. Dobrowolski

Joseph L. Dobrowolski, age 63 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Hospice Of The Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Mr. Dobrowolski was born in Hunlock Creek on December 8, 1951 and was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Nichols Dobrowolski.
Joey was a 1969 graduate of Northwest Area High School and resided in Hunlock Creek for all of his life. He worked construction his whole life including CEO in Kingston for over 10 years. Joey loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing. He was always concerned about the environment and recycling long before it became popular. Joey was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and loved the Native American way of life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and George (Skip) Fullerton and sister, Claire Shilanskis.
Joey is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Tattersall of Sweet Valley; daughter, Sheilia Stockage and her husband George of Dushore; step-children, Bambi Covert of Sweet Valley, David Covert of Lake Silkworth, Crystal Savage and her partner Albert Dunn of Lake Silkworth, and Aprille Covert Higgins and her husband Marty of Harveys Lake; sisters, Gael Miller of Oregon and Nancy Slasor of Texas; grandchildren, Randy, Jacueline, George, Jodi and John Stockage, Christopher and Jonathan Covert, Matthew Covert, Kortnie and Brayden Savage, and Abria Marcincavage; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
Friends may call 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Friday prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
