Obituary of Henry Michael Evans

Henry Michael Evans, age 62 of Lehman, passed away on Wednesday morning, April 8, 2015 at the Celtic Hospice Unit, Wilkes-Barre.
He was born on January 29, 1953, at Nesbitt Hospital in Kingston, and was the son of Josephine (Truska) Evans of Pikes Creek and the late H. Nelson Evans.
Henry was a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School in 1971 and obtained his bachelor's degree in history from Kings College in 1975.
He was a Miller Lite salesman for Premium Brands for several years. Since 1998, Henry, along with his brother Mark, were the owners and proprietors of Halftime Lounge in Swoyersville.
Henry was an avid golfer, belonging to Irem Temple Country Club in Dallas. He enjoyed shooting darts and pool. He was an extremely intelligent man that loved watching Jeopardy (it was impossible to beat him), Sudoku, crossword puzzles, and reading. Henry was a life-long Yankees fan, and a huge music lover, most notably of Willie Nelson. He loved singing karaoke and listening to his old records. Henry had a sense of humor like no-other, and loved puns and good jokes. He would never turn down ice cream.
In addition to his father, Henry was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Barber.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Debbie (Dubil) Evans, with whom he would have celebrated 39 years of marriage on May 22; daughter, Britt Elizabeth and son, Dylan James, both at home; sister, Christina Bryant and her husband, David; brother, Mark K. Evans and his wife, Wanda, both of Loyalville; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 11 at Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, specifically those in the ER and PCU, and the wonderful staff and nurses at Celtic Hospice at Geisinger South.
