Obituary of Ann Raitter Kuprionas

Ann Raitter, age 91 of Dallas, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Mrs. Raitter was born in Larksville on September 3, 1923 and was the daughter of the late William and Agnes Forney Raitter. She graduated from Larksville High School in 1941. Ann owned and operated Nor Ann Fashions in Lower Askam, worked for Leslie Fay in Wilkes-Barre and later was employed at Pittston Senior Center as an assistant director. Ann was an avid bowler and traveler in her RV. She was a member of the Huntsville Christian Church and the ILGWU. Ann was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Spencer, Sr. and Norbert Kuprionas; daughter, Susan Johnson Fielding; brothers: Robert, Francis, Joseph, William, Edward, Walter; sisters, Vanda Woods, and Rita Antonoff. Surviving are sons: Charles Spencer and his wife Betty of Los Angeles, CA and Scott Spencer and his wife Jill of Lehman; daughters: Karen Eckrote of Shickshinny; brother, Jack of Mesa AZ; Sisters: Peg DeLeor ,Mary Lou Adams, Jean Opachinski, Alice Kamowski, Betty Raitter; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Dennis Gray, officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 am to the time of the service. Interment will be in the Sorber Cemetery.
