Obituary of Rolland James Ide

Rolland James Ide, age 79 of Pikes Creek, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Celtic Hospice and Healthcare, Wilkes-Barre.
Mr. Ide was born in Lehman Township on January 22, 1936 and was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Coulter Ide.
Rolland graduated from Lehman High School in 1953. He was a former police officer for Lehman Township and retired from Proctor and Gamble Paper Products in Mehoopany. Rolland was a member of the National Rifle Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Mark, Rolland, Jr., and Dale Ide.
Rolland is survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Audrey Sult; sons, Joesph of Harveys Lake, Alan of Dallas, Darren of Lake Silkworth, and Kevin of Plymouth; brothers, Bradley of Idetown, Elliot of Idetown, and Orville of Nanticoke; sisters, Joyce Huron of Pittston, Ellen Brooks of Illinois, and Helen Frederick of Idetown; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
Friends may call 2-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
