Obituary of Audrey Jeanette Achuff

Audrey Jeanette Achuff, age 88 of Sweet Valley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. Mrs. Achuff was born in Olivet, SD on October 4, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Grace Engle Boone. Audrey graduated from the former Laketon High School, Harveys Lake, where she was the salutatorian of her class in 1945. She worked as a seamstress for the Karen Manufacturing and Noxen Factory for 20 years. Audrey has most recently attended the Calvary Bible Chapel, Muhlenburg and was a former member of the Community Bible Church of Sweet Valley for 64 years, where she taught Sunday school for 30 years. She worked with young people and served on the mission board and social committee. Audrey taught Good News Clubs and release time classes for C.E.F. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Donald Glenn Edwards and Louis Achuff, sisters, Bertha Thompson and Bernice Bubel, and brothers, Lowell, Kenneth, and John Boone. Audrey is survived by son, Dale Edwards and his wife Brenda of Sweet Valley; daughter, Brenda Morgan of Mifflinville; son-in-law, Ernie Morgan of Bloomingdale; grandchildren, Jonathan and his fianc Amanda Bess, Justin, Jared and his wife Janelle, and Janessa Edwards, Kelby and Kallista Morgan; step-children, John and Lucy Achuff, Patricia and Willie Pollick; 7 step-grandchildren; numerous great-step grandchildren; brothers, Jay and his wife Vesta of Buffalo, NY, Jerry and his wife Sallie of Millville; sister, Mary Ann Welch of Rochester, NY; sister-in-law, Esther Boone; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Neil Martin of the Calvary Bible Chapel, Muhlenburg, officiating. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
