Obituary of Ruth Vernice Simmonette

Ruth V. Simmonette, age 91 formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Mrs. Simmonette was born in Johnstown, PA, and was the daughter of the late James and the Effie Dreidle Eddy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brothers: James and Jack Eddy; sisters: Marion Brown, Anna Brown and Shirley Reisser.
Surviving are her children: Barry and his wife, Peggy of Hanover Township, Mark of Nanticoke, Ruth Hiller of Dallas and Diane Tudgay of Sugar Notch; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek with Rev. Paul Metzloff of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Forty Fort, officiating.
Private interment will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
