Obituary of Donna Ruth Chamberlain

Donna Ruth Chamberlain, of Lake Silkworth passed away quietly Tuesday, December 9, 2014. She wrote her own obituary it reads as follows: I have written my own obituary which may seem strange to some but not to me .I had lived a very long and healthy life until my heart got tired. My life achievements are my beautiful family and the development of Thorny Apple Acres with my late husband, Fritz. I am leaving behind my beautiful family, sons, Mark and his wife Kathy of Kingston and Jim and his wife Elizabeth of Lake Silkworth; grandchildren, Kelly Chamberlain of Kingston, Molly Chamberlain of Albany, NY, Stacy Roberts and her husband Jim of Sweet Valley, Jimmer Chamberlain of Dallas, Ernie Chamberlain and his wife Rachel of Kane, and Rachel Simmonette and her husband Robert of Lake Silkworth; great-grandchildren, Kate and Colby Robert, Ivy, Hailey and Zack Chamberlain of Dallas, Keller, Phinn, and Ada Chamberlain of Kane, Adam and Emma Simmonette of Lake Silkworth; brothers-in-law, Russel Spalding of GA, Robert Chamberlain and his wife Marlene of Pittston; nieces, Ann Spalding Cochran and her husband Lamar, Carol Spalding Wakamo and her husband Charles and their children, Connor, Amy, and Brian of Atlanta, GA; cousins, Stephen Doberstein and his wife Audrey and family of Wilmington, DE, Steven Cumberland and his wife Janet of Forkston, Donald Cumberland and his wife Fab of Christiana; cousins-in-law, Dan and his son Andy Deemers of New Hampshire. No mourning please, I will be with my late husband Fritz, mother and father Josephine and Mark Croop, brother, Tom and his wife Ethel, sister, Martha, and cousin Anna Cumberland. Love one another, live gently, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
