Obituary of Brett David Evans

Brett David Evans, age 44 of Sweet Valley, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at home. Mr. Evans was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 1, 1970 and was the son of Ronald H. Evans of Sweet Valley and the late Deborah Cole Evans. Brett graduated from Lake Lehman High School and was a standout pitcher for their baseball team. He was a true social butterfly. Brett knew everyone and everyone knew him. He was a great golfer and enjoyed it with a passion. Brett was a salesman for most of his life and could sell ice to Eskimos. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen and their three daughters, Felicia and her husband Dan Kratz, Samantha Evans, and Jessica Evans; Brett was also the best Pop-pop to Felicia's daughter, Addison; brothers, Colin Evans and his fianc Melissa, Shawn Evans and his wife Becky; sister, Megan Rambus and husband Jake; nephews, Chad and Cameron Evans, Carson Evans, great nephew, Cailan Evans and nieces Hailey and Paige Rambus, Step-niece Kiera and her daughter Sophia; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be forever loved and forever missed, but now he can be at peace with his mom. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor James Pall of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call following the service until 2 PM at the funeral home.
