Carol you were the best mother-in-law/friend anyone could ever ask for. You welcomed me and Ashley into your family and lives with no questions asked, you even pushed the process along a little bit, which I will always be grateful for. The matriarch of the entire family was our grandmom, who lived with us in Valley Forge...nothing family related happened without being brought to her attention for her "approval". Of all the fun gatherings in Betterton and in PA, we always loved to hear Carol describe "her meeting" with Grandmom. She laughed & said, "...oh my God, I thought they were joking...this little old lady, she sat there in the yard just staring at me...never cracked a smile once...I thought she was gonna disapprove of me or something!" Once Carol realized that was how Grandmom was with everyone, she lightened up. It was always a point of humor down through the years. We would all laugh and laugh! Although the years have seperated us geographically, will always remember Carol for that story!
