Obituary of Susan T. Ciehoski

Susan T. Ciehoski, age 83 of Luzerne, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Hospice Community Care (Celtic Healthcare) at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Mrs. Ciehoski was born in Luzerne on February 17, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Steven and Susan Brunsko Brdaric. Susan was a member of the New Life Community Church in Hanover Township. She was employed at the former Nesbitt Hospital in Kingston and later worked as a private duty nurse.. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening, her compassion and generosity were immeasurable. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Ciehoski, in 2009; brothers, Mickey Brdaric, John Brdaric Sr., and Steve Brdaric, and sister, Marion Brdaric Evans. She is survived by sons, Franklin Ciehoski and his wife Jane of Luzerne, John Ciehoski and his wife Brenda of Harveys Lake, Walter Ciehoski and his wife Dell of Luzerne; daughter, Kristin Naylor and her husband David of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Eleanor Hann of Kingston, Millie Pipan of Dallas, and Pauline Konopka of Swoyersville; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2013 at 11:00 am from the New Life Community Church, 301 Delaney St., Hanover Township, PA 18702 with Pastor Gideon Gaitano officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial Contributions be sent to Celtic Healthcare, 25 Church St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18765. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek.
