Obituary of Gerald James Dembowski

Gerald J. Dembowski, age 88 of Hunlock Creek, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Mountaintop Rehab And Healthcare Center. He was born in Nanticoke on August 12, 1936 and was the son of the late Leonard Dembowski and Irene Washock Morris. Jerry proudly served and was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corp. He was a successful businessman in the community, who was kind, generous, and touched many people's lives. Jerry was also passionate about hunting, fishing, and eating baked goods, especially cinnamon buns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Figlerski Dembowski. Jerry is survived by his son, Ronald Dembowski; brothers, Leonard and Gary Morris; granddaughter, Julie Dembowski and her fiancé, James Kingston. At his request, there will be no funeral services or calling hours. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
