Margaret H. Becker, age 97 of Hunlock Creek, passed away peacefully Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Embassy of Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Wilkes-Barre on March 6, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Theodore and Helen Kisperski. Margaret graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1944 and then married the late, Dick Becker. She lived through the Great Depression and started working during World War II. Margaret worked many factory jobs and in the field of sales, retiring at the age of 83. She was a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Kocian and Clemintine Kisperski and brother, Paul Kisperski. Margaret is survived by son, Rick Becker of Hunlock Creek; daughter, Judy Kittrick of Harveys Lake. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 9:30 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621 with Rev. Richard Gyansah-Tabiri, officiating. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM to 9:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Church of the Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming. Online condolences can be made at clswansonfuneralhome.com
