Obituary of Kenneth Alan Williams
Kenneth A. Williams, age 85 of Shavertown, previously of Bloomingdale, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Bloomingdale on January 28, 1939 and was the son of the late Clayton and Elva Williams.
Kenneth graduated from Lake-Lehman High School. He was a tomato farmer for many years before becoming the owner of 5 Mountain Real Estate, Shickshinny, and then working for Gordon and Long Real Estate, Dallas. Kenneth served on the Lake-Lehman School Board for many years and was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Association and the Bloomingdale Bible Church. He enjoyed telling jokes and getting people to laugh. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Dodson; step-son, Royal "Buck" Culver; and siblings, Donald and Dean Williams and Lois Thomas.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Virginia; son, Dave (Sue) Williams of Lancaster; step-son, Scott Culver of Sweet Valley; 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor David Hossage of Bloomingdale Bible Church, officiating.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Private interment will be in Bloomingdale Cemetery.
