Obituary of George G Lazur

George G. Lazur, 63, of Loyalville, passed on August 4, 2024 at his home. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Susan King Lazur. George was born on August 16, 1960 in Nanticoke to the late George A. Lazur and Delphine Oshinski Lazur. He was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, Nanticoke. A wonderful husband and father, he loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and working in the yard. He will truly be missed. George was preceded in death by a brother–in-law, Leonard King. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons: George J. Lazur of Loyalville and Bryan Lazur (Suyean An) of Longview, WA; sisters, Bonnie (John) Kasko, Alice (Charles) Franklin, and Nancy Lazur, all of Nanticoke; sisters in-laws, Ellen (Carmen) Maccarone of Sweet Valley, Barb (Jerry) Mikielski of Lehman, Rose Weaver of Forty Fort, Betsy (Ernie) Phillips of Beaumont, and Beverly King of Hunlock Creek; brothers in-law, Lyle (Debbie Doughton) of Luzerne and Michael King of Meeker; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Lake Township.
