Obituary of Margaret Roselie Womer

Margaret R. Womer, age 97 of Noxen, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. She was born in Tunkhannock on October 19, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Sara Miller. Margaret graduated from Tunkhannock High School and was employed by dress factories in Noxen. She was a member of the Noxen United Methodist Church, Noxen Fire Co. Women's Auxillary and helped with fundraising for the Schenck Memorial Library, Noxen. Margaret enjoyed gardening and playing bingo. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Womer; daughter, Yvonne Richardson; and siblings, Edith Wright, Peter, and Ralph Margaret is survived by son, Robert Womer and his wife Lora of Hunlock Creek; sisters, Rosemarie Scheffler of Laceyville, Lois Pickett of Milan, PA, and Ruth Gorski; brothers, Donald Miller of Mehoopany and Charles Miller of Dimmock; 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas, at a later date, with Pastor Rick Womer of the Tunkhannock Assembly of God Church, officiating. Arrangements are by the Curtis L.
