Obituary of Margaret M. Moyer

Margaret Mary Moyer, born August 27, 1930, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on April 18, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late John & Mary Pavlick and was born and raised in Hunlock Creek, PA. She was a graduate of Harter High School and was employed with the U. S. Postal Service retiring as postmaster of Plymouth Post Office. She was an avid hiker, loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband and dogs, of which they had many. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in October, 2018.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Ann, her husband Robert, brothers, Albert & John, and sister Maryann Smith.

She is survived by her son, Robert and wife, Elizabeth, grandchildren, Robert and wife, Kourtney Moyer, Lauren and husband, Tyler Lewis, and great-grandchildren, Abigale and Evangeline Moyer and Austin and Lennon Lewis, sisters Monica Davis, Theresa Roman, Elizabeth Sorber, Mildred Rusnak, Ann Rish, and Christine Rombilus. Marge leaves her family with many years of precious memories and will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 9:30 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 State Route 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, with Rev. Brian Van Fossen, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.

A private graveside service will be held following the Mass.
