Obituary of Joan Pleskach

Joan Pleskach, age 91 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Hampton House, Wilkes-Barre.

 

She was born in Montclair, NJ on August 11, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Theodore and Christine Donaldson Gehring.

 

Joan was employed by Arrow Group Industries and Valley Knitting, both in Haskell, NJ. She lived in Texas for 30 years and then resided in Sweet Valley for the last 5 years. Joan enjoyed gardening and her dog, Zoey.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Paul Pleskach who passed away April 4, 2015 and sisters, Joyce and Doris.

 

She is survived by daughters, Patricia Intveld and her husband Bob of Toms River, NJ and Karen Mully and her husband Mike of Hunlock Creek; son, Michael Pleskach and his wife Sissy of Hardyston, NJ; brother, Donald Gehring and his wife Judy of Georgetown, TX; grandchildren, Mike Mully, Jr. and his wife Nikki of Noxen, Ryan Mully of Dunmore, Tim Pleskach and his wife Alexandra of Vernon, NJ, Tina and David Pleskach of Ashley, Rebecca McGrady of Bronx, NY and Jennifer Terracciano of Hardyston, NJ; great-grandchildren, Connor, Hailey, Brady, Rylee, Juliauna, Gavin, Alivaeh, Vincent and Adriana.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
