Obituary of Donna Lee Yatsko

Donna Yatsko, age 69 of Sweet Valley, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wilkes-Barre on September 29, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Trowbridge. Donna graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School, class of 1970. She was a dedicated employee at Fernwood Personal Care Home for 35 years, where she considered the residents to be part of her family. Donna enjoyed baking and watching the Hallmark channel. She was a loving and selfless wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Donna was affectionately known to her family as "Nanny". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David "Poppy" P. Yatsko, Sr.; sister, Marylou Petro; brother, Bob Trowbridge. Donna is survived by son, David P. Yatsko, Jr. and his wife Erin of Sweet Valley; daughter, Jennifer Yatsko of Sweet Valley; grandchildren, Levi, Leah, Jacob and Layna Yatsko; brothers, James and William Trowbridge. A memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
