Obituary of Clyde F. Martin

Clyde F. Martin, age 74 of Noxen, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Mr. Martin was born in Lake Township on April 11, 1938 and was the son of the late Clifford and Lillian Hagle Martin.
He served in the Army Reserves from 1957 to 1962 and was employed by Whitesell Brothers Construction, Dallas for 22 years. He graduated from the former Lake Noxen High School in 1957. He loved to hunt, fish, and go camping at the family campsite in Pikes Creek.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his brothers: Bruce, David, and Carl Martin and Harold Shaw; sisters: Eleanor Blessman Johnson and Grace Beahm; brothers-in-law: Harold Blessman, J.C. Johnson and Michael Harmon; nephews: Chester and Mark Martin and Harold (Butch) Shaw; niece: Tammy Stuart.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 52 years the former Lois Boston; children: Lucinda Marie Martin Lutz and her husband Walter of Falls, Cecil Fred Martin at home, Donna Louise Martin Boyes and her husband Jeff of Pikes Creek, and George Henry Martin at home; grandson: Marshal Lutz; brothers: Alfred, Joseph, Thomas and Harry Martin all of Pikes Creek, Claude Martin of Hunlock Creek; sisters: Cora Harmon of Pikes Creek and Irene Yeager and her husband, Richard of Hunlock Creek; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Danny Brubaker of Roaring Brook Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
Friends may call 2-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
