Obituary of Lois Elaine Thomas

Lois E. Thomas, age 74 of Bloomingdale, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the Kingston Health Care Center.

She was born in Bloomingdale on September 12, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Clayton and Elva Williams.

Lois graduated from Lake-Lehman High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. She was employed by the Social Security Administration for over 35 years. Lois was an active member of the Bloomingdale Bible Church for her entire life and the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Luzerne County for many years. She enjoyed cooking and spending her free time watching the hummingbirds from her porch. Lois was a loving wife, sister and friend who loved to spend time with her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Wayne B. Thomas; brothers, Donald and Dean Williams.

Lois is survived by brother, Kenneth (Virginia) Williams; sister-in-law, Barbara Williams; nieces, Sandy (Michael) Lukatchik, Kathy (Bob) Bartoli and Lori (Jeff) Strayer; nephews, David (Susie) Williams and Larry Williams; numerous great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Bryan Dodson of the Faith Baptist Church, Plymouth, officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
