Obituary of Curtis Simmons

Curtis "Chicky" Simmons, age 71 of Lake Twp., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Nanticoke on July 29, 1950 and was the son of Celia Kaminski Simmons of Kulpmont, PA and the late George Simmons.
Curtis graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1968. He was employed in the garment industry, worked at American Cigar Co., Bertels and later for Certainteed Gobian in Mountaintop for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Dallas American Legion, Post 672, the Hog Association for 25 years and the American Motocycle Club. Curtis enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on cars and spending time with his family especially his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Ricky Simmons.
In addition to his mother, Curtis is survived by his wife of 21 years, the former Karen Siglin; daughters, Lori Ann Simmons and her partner, Edward Bolton, Tara Kelley and her husband Bruce and Maria Gasper and her husband Brian; sons, Alex Bouika, IV and his wife Maria and Robert Bouika; 4 sisters and 1 brother; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and their families.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Rick Womer, officiating.
Private interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
