Obituary of Bernadine A. Kulp

Bernadine Ann “Tootie” Kulp, age 86 of Sweet Valley, formerly of Lake Silkworth, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Plymouth on November 29, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Martin and Victoria Smiech Mrugal. Bernadine graduated from Harter High School and was employed by numerous cigar factories in our area, and retired from the Offset Paperback Cafeteria, Dallas. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth. Tootie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a sweet lady and was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Bernadine is preceded in death by her husband, William Kulp, Jr.; son-in-law, Robert A. Maslowski; former in-laws, William and Edith (Cook) Kulp; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. She is survived by daughter, Ann Marie Jones of Sweet Valley; granddaughters, Robyn Goss and husband Jason, Angela Bedford and husband Douglas, Jr., Bobbi Ann Mertis and boyfriend Josh Guilford; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Taft, Brooklyn, Jason, Jr., Kami, Hayley, Dougie, III, Colton, Joey, Jr., and Ryan; sisters, Fran Evans and Mary Hoinski; brother, Chester Mrugal and wife Maryann; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lake Silkworth Volunteer Fire Company 1875 State Route 29 Highway, Silkworth, PA 18621 or Sweet Valley Ambulance Association, 5399 Main Rd, Sweet Valley, PA 18656.
