Obituary of Joyce Elaine Chamberlain

Text that is to appear on web must be entered after this line)« Joyce Elaine Chamberlain, age 81 of Lehman, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Born March, 24, 1936 in Kingston. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Beatrice Drake Oncay. Joyce graduated from Lehman-Jackson High School in 1954. She enjoyed learning new things and teaching them to others, including cooking, baking, farming, spinning, weaving, knitting, sewing and quilting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Walter Chamberlain, Jr. and brother, Edward Oncay. Joyce is survived by sons, Walter E. Chamberlain, Jr. and his wife Karen of Lehman and Scott N. Chamberlain and his wife Myrtle of Lehman; daughters, April L. Compton and her husband Harry of Toccoa, GA; brother, William Oncay of Uxbridge, MA; grandchildren, Andrew, Brenda, Sabrina, Christopher, Zachary, Nicolette and Joshua. Funeral services will be held Monday, April, 3, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Roland Preisler of the Grace Community Church, Dallas, officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Lehman Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Pathways Pregnancy Help Center, 480 Pierce St., Suite 320, Kingston, PA 18704.
